Facilitation
I have served nearly 30 years in Multnomah County as Juvenile Court Counselor. With extensive training and experience, I faciliate many groups and events. I mediate Difficult Conversations about Race and Unlearning Oppression through Resolution NW.
I facilitate Empowerment classes for African American boys through the Portland Public School system. I was on GRIT (Gang Resource Intervention Team) which was the first gang unit for Multnomah County. While working for Multnomah County, I was the Lead Worker for the Save Our Youth Program which dealt with conflict and violence.
For 15 years I have worked with SoValTi Culturally Responsive Social Services where I facilitate domestic violence and fatherhood classes. I founded Akintola's Corner to address cultural awareness. I am passionate about changing the way the world views race.
Please contact me for information about mediating your group or event.
'It meant a great deal to me and to many in the audience to open up our consciousness to the possibilities outside of the social construction of race. Phew powerful!
Thank you for lighting our candles today and fueling our actions tomorrow.'
